E-learning on Tenure

E-learning curriculum on "The Responsible Governance of Tenure - E-learning to support the implementation of the Voluntary Guidelines on Responsible Governance of Tenure of Land, Fisheries and Forests, in the context of National Food Security”. 

The curriculum includes a series of e-learning courses that:

  • aim to create awareness about the importance of responsible governance of tenure;
  • help to improve the capacity of various groups to implement the Guidelines in their countries;
  • use a range of instructional methods, including storytelling, case-based scenarios, interactive tests and exercises; 
  • provide additional online resources and links to additional reading

Addressing Disputes and Conflicts over the Tenure of Natural Resources

30/06/2014 - Abstract: This course provides guidance on managing competition over the use of land, fisheries and forests. The course introduces a process for analysing the underlying causes of disputes and conflicts. It also illustrates a range of dispute resolution mechanisms and some options for policy and legal reforms to prevent disputes and reduce vulnerability to conflict.

Introduction to the Responsible Governance of Tenure

30/09/2013 - Abstract: The course introduces the main concepts and principles of the Voluntary Guidelines on the Responsible Governance of Tenure. It aims to help people understand the Guidelines and to apply the principles to practical situations in their countries, as well as to raise the general awareness of responsible governance of tenure of land, fisheries and forests.
