Liberia’s Fish-Vegetable Integrated Farming: Transforming Women’s Livelihoods with FAO & UAE Support

Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) supported the women group in Gbegbedu community in Liberia in with setting up the integrated fish farming production. Ms Majongbeh S. Kamara, a chairperson of the Gbegbedu Rural Women Group shares her experience and the positive impacts gained from the collaboration with FAO. The Project “Promoting Increased Resilience and Sustainable Income Generation, Food Security, and Nutrition for Rural Women” (2019 – 2023), implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture in Liberia with financial support from the UAE, aims to promote rural women’s economic empowerment and enhance their resilience to shocks.
