01/07/2020

On July 1st at 2:00 PM (Central African Time) this webinar officially launches the July 2020 #AfricanCITYFOODMonth campaign.

The discussion will start from the FAO Framework for the Urban Food Agenda, which is the innovative FAO approach for enhancing and leveraging local governments actions to achieve sustainable food systems and nutrition in urban areas and nearby rural spaces.

The speakers will show experiences from African cities, introducing various approaches at the local level: the City Region Food System project, the NADHALI approach, and perspectives on Food Policy and Governance.

With practical reflections from cities adopting the approaches, the discussion will provide an overview of the concepts and also network and stakeholder initiatives related to urban food systems.
