Last week 100 youths from Kisumu successfully completed their training in a Business Mentorship and Coaching Programme.

The training is part of the Jiinue Business accelerator programme, supported by FAO in partnership with the County Government of Kisumu and the NGO I Choose Life Africa (ICLA).

This initiative was born to cope up with the negative effects of COVID-19 and it is aimed at supporting young entrepreneurs in transforming their startups into Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

The recent graduated youths have been able to improve their skills mainly along three value chains: poultry, fish and indigenous vegetables.

The graduation ceremony was attended by the local Kisumu Government, FAO Country staff and managers from the CEO Youth Enterprise Development Fund. More info here
