By promoting positive narratives about small-scale fisheries and following good communication practices, we can all contribute to improving food security and nutrition, reducing poverty, and supporting a thriving subsector.

At the heart of this communication guide is the Voluntary Guidelines for Securing Sustainable Small-Scale Fisheries in the Context of Food Security and Poverty Eradication (SSF Guidelines), the first internationally-agreed instrument dedicated to the sector.
