In support of the work of the WASAG working group on Saline Agriculture, we are happy to announce the Final Conference SalFar Project – Saline Farming: Climate adaptive Agriculture for Future Food Security on 5-6 April 2022 in Groningen, The Netherlands (see details for free registration in the link below)
After 5 years of successful co-operation across the North Sea Region, the SalFar project will come to an end. With the focus on climate adaptive farming in coastal areas and our multi-disciplinary approach we achieved amazing results. On more than 20 open field labs in Northern Europe the salt tolerance of various crops was tested, surprising farmers and scientists alike. We would like to share these results with you, discuss future farming and food security and invite you to visit our testfields in the Northern Netherlands, the Double Dyke project and SPNA Agroresearch.
