Launch of GAEZ v5 and signature of MoU with IIASA

The new Global Agro-Ecological Zoning (GAEZ) Version 5 introduces enhanced methodologies and updated datasets on climate, soil, and land. It offers invaluable tools for better decision-making in agriculture and land-use management, and to explore the impacts of climate change on land suitability and crop productivity.

During this event, the partnership between FAO and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) has been crucial for this development and will be renewed through the signature of the Memorandum of Understanding.
