The launch of the Third Report on the State of the World’s Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture will provide an opportunity to present the main findings of this global assessment as well as highlighting key gaps and needs identified by countries for the effective conservation and sustainable use of these vital resources. A panel discussion, with experts representing diverse stakeholders, will consider responses to the identified challenges for moving forward the global agenda on plant genetic resources. The event will be webcast, and interpretation will be provided in all FAO official languages.
