The International Day of Forests on 21 March celebrates and raises awareness of the importance of all types of forests. This event will mark the Day under the theme “Healthy forests for healthy people.” High-level speakers and ‘next generation’ forestry leaders will discuss the contributions of healthy forests for healthy people through policy, science and management. An award ceremony for the FAO Tree Cities of the World will be held.
