The FAO/WHO/OID side event on Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) and food safety will discuss the relevant activities conducted by FAO, WHO and OIE and the benefits of taking a One Health approach on the topic to identify synergies at both national and international levels.
The event will also be an opportunity for the participants to discuss possible impacts and implications that WGS might have for the future Codex work.
