Closing the Net on IUU Fishing

On the occasion of the fourth observance of the International Day for the Fight Against Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) Fishing, FAO is organizing the digital talk “Closing the net on IUU fishing”. An incredible line-up of experts and ocean lovers will tell us about how IUU fishing is impacting our lives and our ocean and how we can make a contribution to stop it.
The talk will be hosted by, Valérie Dekimpe, from France24, and will involve a most interesting and varied panel, that will include:
- a celebrity chef committed to sustainability and FAO Goodwill Ambassador, Chef Rodrigo Pacheco;
- an experienced sailor committed to protecting the ocean’s biodiversity, Romain Troublé;
- a standards expert who advocates for seafood traceability in Asia and the Pacific, Maggie Lee;
- a FAO fisheries expert with a big passion for the ocean and its treasures, Kristin Von Kistowski.
