FM09 - Diversified market opportunities for family farming
Rome time
Explore how different experiences and policies on the market channels of local and traditional food markets, and public food procurement facilitate the availability and accessibility of diverse and nutritious foods to consumers, leveraging the potential of developing and implementing successful actions, policies and strategies for the support of family farming and influencing consumers’ behaviours and desire for healthier diets. This session will also demonstrate how such initiatives can be used by governments as entry points for integrated and innovative policies and programmes that simultaneously address multiple challenges of current agrifood systems.
