In the Interlaken Declaration, FAO Members recognized that they bear the main responsibility for implementation of the Global Plan of Action for Animal Genetic Resources, the only internationally agreed plan for management of livestock genetic diversity. Members also invited all stakeholders, including international organizations, to join them in their common cause.
