AQUASTAT is FAO’s global information system on water and agriculture, launched in the 1990s as a cornerstone of FAO’s water programme. Over the past three decades, it has provided data and information on water resources use and management worldwide, playing a key role in monitoring SDG 6.4. During the event, FAO and UN-Water will present the new UN system-wide strategy on Water and Sanitation , and its relevance to FAO’s mandate.
