This is a multi-donor facility that aims to support the development of new markets for the clean cooking sector and accelerate access to high technology, modern and affordable cooking equipment for consumers in sub-Saharan Africa. With a focus on 7 countries (D. R. Congo, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe), the program supports the use of cleaner and sustainable cooking fuels, such as sustainably produced bioethanol, bio-LPG, LPG, biogas, electric cooking solutions and solid biofuels from sustainable sources (e.g. pellets and briquettes).
