This initiative aims at facilitating the transition from traditional cookstoves to more efficient models and from improved cookstoves to advanced solutions in sub-Saharan Africa to reduce the use of wood for cooking. Program activities have covered Côte d'Ivoire, Mozambique, Rwanda, and Angola by the end of 2024. It planned to distribute advanced stoves (such as induction stoves in urban areas and gasifier cookstoves in rural areas) from 2025 onward in five pilot sites in Maputo and Beira (Mozambique), Pointe-Noire (Republic of Congo), Kigali (Rwanda) and Boakè (Côte d'Ivoire).
