The background paper was developed by the World Bank’s Energy Sector Management Assistance Program (ESMAP) to assess the key clean cooking issues and the interplay between clean cooking and climate change in Malawi. It provides key data, analysis, and an overall narrative in clean cooking to inform the development of the Country Climate and Development Report (CCDR).
