The project aims to increase the production of sustainable woodfuel in rural areas and the usage of modern and clean cooking solutions in urban areas. It supports the following activities: 1) Strengthening the legal and institutional framework for an enabling environment for sustainable management of forest resources; 2) Development of appropriate tools for sustainable, climate-smart forest management and utilization; 3) Establishment of a Cook Fund for accelerated market roll-out of clean cooking solutions and attracting further investments in the sector by the private sector; and 4) Awareness campaigns and strategies on clean cooking solutions.
