To mark both occasions, World Food Day and 80th anniversary of FAO, FAO North Macedonia will host a tree-planting ceremony in the Park of the Francophonie, together with representatives from government institutions, the UN family, academia, civil society, and youth. The event will highlight the vital connection between forests, biodiversity, and sustainable food systems, while showcasing FAO’s close collaboration with the Government of North Macedonia in advancing forest-based climate action. The celebration will also feature an FAO 80th Anniversary Exhibition, children’s art activities, a beekeeping workshop, and the FAO80 Pledge Wall for sharing personal commitments to a sustainable future.
