‘Hold Hope!’ Campaign in Celebration of World Food Day - Philippines

Philippines (Philippines), 19/10/2025 - 29/10/2025

The Global Hope Supporters in the Philippines will hold a food donation and string ensemble performance on October 20, 2025, in cooperation with the Quezon City Government, to celebrate World Food Day 2025. Food packages will be donated to 30 households in need, including elderly people living alone, single-parent families, and households with persons with disabilities, who are suffering from impacts of the climate crisis, economic hardship, or illness. Each box is prepared with the heart of a mother who cares for her family’s health, containing rice, eggs, flour, beans, spaghetti noodles, and macaroni, to deliver hope to neighbors in need. Alongside the donation, a five-member string ensemble will perform to bring comfort and joy to the beneficiaries. This event is part of the “Hold Hope!” campaign carried out by the World Mission Society Church of God’s Global Hope Supporters, who work with the heart of a mother who values life and devotes herself to her family. The “Hold Hope” campaign aims to support those suffering from food insecurity—including vulnerable groups and small-scale food producers—and move toward a world free from hunger. the campaign is being conducted from September to October 2025 across about 60 countries, sharing the message that “Everyone has the right to adequate, safe, and nutritious food.”

1. Food Aid to Vulnerable Groups We support low-income families in about 60 countries, including those where the prevalence of severe food insecurity exceeds the global average. In cooperation with local governments, we provide food boxes designed with balanced nutrition to neighbors in humanitarian crisis situations, raising public awareness of the global food crisis.

2. Support for Small-Scale Food Producers We offer tailored assistance—such as providing helping hands and essential supplies in farming, fishing, or livestock industries—to local small-scale food producers, contributing to the stabilization of regional food supply systems. - This campaign is part of the Church of God’s six major fields of social contribution, under the category of “Poverty and Hunger Alleviation.” The Global Hope Supporters continue to take the lead in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through diverse initiatives, including climate change response, educational support, and health and well-being promotion.
