포트오브스페인 (트리니다드 토바고), 25/10/2025 - 04/11/2025
The Global Hope Supporters in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, conducted a food donation event on October 26, 2025, in cooperation with the Government of Trinidad and Tobago, to celebrate World Food Day 2025.
Food packages were delivered to 25 vulnerable households. Following a previous donation made in February in partnership with the Prime Minister’s Office to 20 households, the volunteers once again shared hope and comfort with their neighbors this past October.
Each box, prepared with the heart of a mother who cherishes her family’s health, contained flour, powdered milk, salt, cabbage, carrots, garlic, and canned tuna. The prepared packages were delivered to the Belmont Community Center. This event was part of the “Hold Hope!” campaign carried out by the World Mission Society Church of God’s Global Hope Supporters, who work with the heart of a mother who values life and devotes herself to her family. The “Hold Hope!” campaign aimed to support those suffering from food insecurity—including vulnerable groups and small-scale food producers—and move toward a world free from hunger. The campaign was conducted from September to October 2025 across about 60 countries, sharing the message that “Everyone has the right to adequate, safe, and nutritious food.”
The Global Hope Supporters focus their efforts on key priority areas:
1. Food Aid to Vulnerable Groups
They support low-income families in about 60 countries, including those where the prevalence of severe food insecurity exceeds the global average. In cooperation with local governments, they provide food boxes designed with balanced nutritional content to neighbors in humanitarian crisis situations, raising public awareness of the global food crisis.
2. Support for Small-Scale Food Producers
They offer tailored assistance—such as providing helping hands and essential supplies in farming, fishing, or livestock industries—to local small-scale food producers, contributing to the stabilization of regional food supply systems. - This campaign is part of the Church of God’s six major fields of social contribution, under the category of “Poverty and Hunger Alleviation.” The Global Hope Supporters continue to take the lead in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through diverse initiatives, including climate change response, educational support, and health and well-being promotion.
