In celebration of FAO’s 80th anniversary, the Informal Consultation for Europe and Central Asia 2025 offered a timely platform for dialogue and collaboration among Member Nations, Observers, and regional partners.
Anchored in FAO’s enduring commitment to eradicating hunger and transforming agrifood systems, the consultation reflected the Organization’s legacy of fostering inclusive, regionally driven action. Delegates discussed key thematic areas including climate resilience, digital agriculture, and food security, offering constructive feedback to refine the ERC 34 agenda. The event underscored the continued relevance of FAO’s mission across Europe and Central Asia and highlighted the importance of building on eight decades of cooperation to address emerging challenges and accelerate progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals.
