The Food Capitals by Délice Network is proud to announce the launch of its brand-new podcast, Cities at the Table, a monthly series that explores how cities around the world are utilising food and gastronomy as drivers for change, sustainability, and community well-being. The podcast will be on all podcast platforms on World Food Day, October 16.
In the first episode, listeners are invited to take a seat at the table with Deputy Mayor Jakub Mazur of Wrocław, Poland, to learn how gastronomy has become a powerful tool to shape a resilient urban future. As a member of The Food Capitals’ Executive Committee, Jakub Mazur offers a firsthand perspective on how Wrocław is reinventing its food system, from pioneering the city’s urban farm, which now produces local food for schools, to leading one of Poland’s most ambitious zero-waste initiatives.
Launched in conjunction with World Food Day 2025, the podcast underscores the Food and Agriculture Organization’s global call to action for more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient food systems. By sharing stories from cities that are putting food at the heart of urban life, Cities at the Table celebrates local leadership and reminds us that meaningful change begins on our plates and in our communities.
