As part of World Food Day celebrations, the National Seedling Distribution will take place on 16 October 2025 from 9 am to 2 pm at the Agricultural Extension Division. This activity aims to encourage healthier diets, strengthen local agriculture, and support long-term food security. Free seedlings, including tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, eggplant, and cucumbers, will be distributed to gardeners, schools, and the public, marking the official kick-off World Food Day celebrations and of the 'backyard gardening competition'.
