On October 16, FAO and the Georgian Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, with support from local authorities, commemorated World Food Day near Kutaisi’s White Bridge in Imereti. The event included an agromarket, Unique Georgian Taste, showcasing local foods like dairy, honey, and dried fruits. Supported by the EU-Sweden-funded ENPARD IV project, the event aimed to promote Georgian agriculture, with activities for children and an installation to raise awareness on food loss and waste. FAO and government officials gave speeches, and a Georgian Food Hero was honored for 2024.
