On October 16, FAO North Macedonia and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Economy celebrated World Food Day at the poultry farm of Toni Dimevski in Ognjanci, near Skopje. This event emphasized the critical role smallholder farmers like Toni play in fostering resilient agrifood systems. Highlights included speeches from the Macedonian Minister of Agriculture, the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, and FAO’s National Programme Coordinator, followed by a farm-to-table meal showcasing local, sustainable food.
