World Food Day 2025 in Bosnia and Herzegovina Zenica, 16 October 2025, 10:30 a.m. Conference: “Together for Better Food and a Better Future” We are pleased to invite you to attend a brief press conference and media statements ahead of the opening of the event organized by the Food Safety Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Institute for Health and Food Safety Zenica (INZ), on Thursday, 16 October 2025, at 10:30 a.m., at Hotel Zenica (Kamberovića čikma bb, Zenica, The conference “Together for Better Food and a Better Future” brings together leading experts, institutions, and partners from the fields of agriculture, food safety, inspection services, academia, and international organizations (FAO) to jointly address the challenges and perspectives of food systems, food safety, and product standardization in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Through three panel discussions, the conference will explore the following topics: Transformation of agri-food systems for better food and a better future Standardization and branding of traditional and indigenous food products in BiH The Laboratory – The Eye (Z(j)enica) of Industry, Food, and Health: an example of integrating science, oversight, and innovation in the service of public health and economic development The goal of the conference is to encourage dialogue and networking among institutions, producers, and academia, and to present concrete recommendations for improving the national food safety system.

This conference represents a key national event marking World Food Day in Bosnia and Herzegovina and an opportunity to present new initiatives aimed at improving food security, product standardization, and laboratory infrastructure. Participants in the panel discussions will include representatives of FAO, state and entity-level agencies and ministries for agriculture and rural development, the Faculty of Agriculture in Sarajevo, producer associations, inspection bodies, and leaders of the domestic food industry.
