On October 16, 2024, FAO participated in the “Food Day” event at the Government Palace, attended by President Luís Inácio Lula da Silva and four ministers. The government celebrated World Food Day to honor FAO’s founding while announcing two national plans for food security: the National Food Supply Plan - Food on the Plate (2025-2028) and the National Plan for Agroecology and Organic Production.
