Ankara (Türkiye), 16/10/2025
Established in 2021 by FAO, the World Food Forum (WFF) is a global platform that brings together young people, civil society, academia, the private sector, and public institutions to transform sustainable food systems. By amplifying the voices of youth and innovators, the WFF fosters collective action against hunger, malnutrition, and climate change, strengthening their capacity to develop solutions.
Türkiye will launch its own National Youth Forum on 16 October 2025, in collaboration with FAO, Yaşar University, Özyeğin University, and the Agriculture and Forestry Youth Council, coordinated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry’s Department of Education and Publications. Held in parallel with the World Food Day celebrations, the Forum will feature three parallel sessions: a Policy Session coordinated by the Agriculture and Forestry Youth Council; a Science and Innovation Session moderated by Yaşar University; and a Culture and Gastronomy Session organized with Özyeğin University.
Young farmers, entrepreneurs, and experts will contribute to these sessions, with young academics and Agriculture and Forestry Youth Council members serving as rapporteurs. The findings will be compiled into a final report at the close of the event.
