Millions of people in Somalia are currently facing famine and extreme hunger. Four consecutive failed rainy seasons have led to a period of extreme drought in the country - there is no water, no pasture, and no crops. Many people in Somalia live in rural areas and depend on livestock, but they are also dying from starvation. The FAO Somalia Team are working with local institutions and partners to help improve the situation on the ground in Somalia, this is their message for World Food Day.
