On 10 March, the Harlem Globetrotters, a basketball team from Harlem, New York, USA, visited the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The players, Darnel “Speedy” Artis and Alex “Moose” Weekes, took this opportunity to discuss with Rome-based students, the importance of maintaining a healthy diet. The students and the players also talked about the "9 Easy Tips" to reduce food waste in schools, homes, gymnasiums and cafeterias. This lively encounter, which took place at FAO headquarters, was followed by an active basketball clinic at Rome’s Palazzo dello Sport.
