Discover the latest activity book Hand in Hand for Better Foods and a Better Future. In this special FAO 80th anniversary edition, join Taleb and his grandmother Teslim in an inspiring story set in Mauritania and discover how their lives have been transformed by the Great Green Wall initiative. Packed with engaging activities, games, and sustainable crafts, children can explore the Four Betters and learn how by working hand in hand, we can build a peaceful, sustainable, prosperous, and food-secure world where everyone has access to a healthy diet.
By sparking curiosity and encouraging action, this activity book aims to empower young minds to become future changemakers in their own communities.
FAO’s Activity Book Series offers children a chance to engage with global issues in a fun and educational way.
Take part in the World Food Day Poster Contest and show us your creativity!
Use your skills to show how better foods create a better future, and how together we can build a peaceful, sustainable, prosperous, and food-secure world where everyone has access to a healthy diet. Let your poster inspire action for the future we can build hand in hand with people, communities, and nature.
Ready to turn ideas into art?
Students are invited to participate in a fun art project inspired by the imaginative portraits of Italian painter Giuseppe Arcimboldo. Artworks can be composed of local fruits, vegetables, flowers, and plants, materials that reflect the richness and diversity of each country’s food and nature.
Take a picture of the masterpiece and share it with us! Photos must be sent to [email protected] by 30 September 2025.
The World Food Day music videos combine uplifting lyrics and catchy beats, uniting young people from around the world to drive positive change and become #FoodHeroes.
Listen in, learn the lyrics, and let the rhythm inspire change!
