FEASIBILITY STUDY ON THE RELOCATION OF NADURULOULOU AQUACULTURE RESEARCH STATION, FIJI

1. INTRODUCTION

The Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations, under its “South Pacific Aquaculture Development Project-Phase II (SPADP-GCP/RAS/116/JPN)”, is providing assistance to the Government of Fiji for the purpose to improve its aquaculture production.

In the framework of this project the consultancy was carried out between 13 January to 12 February 1998. The terms of reference for the Aquaculture Engineer consultant are attached to this report as Appendix I.

The consultant worked together with the chief technical adviser of the project and with officials of the Fisheries Division of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forests (MAFF) on the site and developed the present work while in regular consultation with them.
