The joint FAO/CILSS Mission in late October provisionally estimated cereal production in 2004 at a record 239�000 tonnes, an increase of about 12 percent over last year�s good crop and significantly above the average for the previous five years. Cereal import requirements for 2004/05 are forecast at about 141�000 tonnes, to be mainly covered on commercial basis
