Mangrove forests in Marshall Islands are not extense, but are present in some of the islands of this archipelago. In the largest one, Lib Island, these forests are found in large freshwater ponds, and are composed of Bruguiera sp. Other stands can also be found on Ailinglaplap and Jaluit, where the trees occur in small depressions, such as in Arno and Mejit where they are found along a channel from a central pond to the sea.
