Unasylva - Started in 1947, this quarterly publication is intended to cover a range of interests as wide as that of the Division whose work it mirrors.

Signed articles express the opinions of the authors and do not necessarily represent the views of the Organization.

Cover. "Mimizan" by Sir Winston Churchill. This oil painting is reproduced to commemorate a great man and to mark the 20th anniversary of the founding of FAO at Quebec, 16 October 1945. Mimizan, on the fringe of the forests of Le Landes in France, is known to generations of British and French foresters and others, for whom it was a summer field training center.
