NICARAGUA LEGISLATION
Licence fee (annual):
-Vessels up to 16 feet long and 4 feet wide = US$10
-Vessels over these dimensions pay an additional US$1 per foot.
Plus percentage of profits (utilidad) from fishing operations as follows:
-profits up to 15% of gross revenue = 3% of profits;
-profits from 15% to 30% of gross revenue = 3% of profits, plus 0.2% per each 1% over 15% profits;
-profits over 30% of gross revenue = 3% of profits, plus 0.2% for each 1% over 30%.

  LEGISLATION
Local fishing vessel defined as vessel of Nicaraguan registry; or vessel operating under the authority of a Nicaraguan licence.

% = Reports must be made every 3 days for vessels from Norway, Sweden and Faroes when fishing for herring, weekly when fishing for other species .
O = Logbook to be filled out(radio report to be made) after every fishing operation .
* = Country is a part to the South Pacific FFA arrangement which stipulates that licences will not be issued to foreign fishing vessels unless those vessels are listed in good standing on the FFA - maintained regional register of fishing vessels .
