Application:

Finely powder the feed and apply in the pond after mixing with water.
Apply the desired amount of feed in feeding trays after 15–20 days of rearing.
Two trays of 120cm × 60cm × 15cm size is sufficient for 1 bigha pond (33 decimal).
TEST THE SURVIVAL OF SPAWN
Use a piece of cloth (gamcha) to sieve a portion of the pond and check the survival. 5–7 spawn per haul indicates satisfactory survival.
BOTTOM RAKING
Rake the bottom daily from the following day of stocking
SAMPLING
Sample the stock using hapa and check the survival and growth. After 5–6 days of stocking.
Do not use the fine mesh drag net within 5–10 days of stocking of spawn.
THINNING
If properly managed you can harvest the fry within 8–15 days.
Harvest the stock preferably in the morning
One day prior to harvesting net the pond, hold the stock densely for some time, in the net, splash water and release them back.
Repeat the same on the day of harvesting. Transfer the fry to rearing pond using plastic bag or aluminum containers.
No thinning is required if one stage rearing is attempted.
