I will proceed with Item 6 on the Agenda, Election of Five Members of the Committee on Food Aid Policies and Programmes, document CL 85/LIM/4. As the note says, the FAO Council and the United Nations Economic and Social Council each elect 15 Member Nations to this Committee. The term of office of five of the members elected by the FAO Council will come to an end on 31 December 1983. You also see in paragraph 2 the balance to be achieved. We have six names - Australia, Bangladesh, Canada, Indonesia, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America. Otherwise shall we proceed with the balloting? May I request Brazil and Cyprus to serve as tellers for the ballot.

CHAIRMAN: As a result of these elections the composition of the Finance Committee will be as follows: Chairman, Mr Abeyagoonasekera, and the eight members will be Saudi Arabia, Madagascar, Malaysia, Angola, Peru, Canada, Australia, and the Federal Republic of Germany. We are very grateful to Panama, Greece and Italy for their kind interest also in serving on this Committee.
