A follow-up proposal was prepared by the Consejo Regional de Poblacion in Loreto and submitted to FAO and UNFPA.

Description:

2/93: first training with 31 development agents (agricultural extension workers, 27 men and 4 women) and 7 supervisors

2 - 6/93: 28 of the trained trainers set up two youth groups, each with an average of 5-12 members. Field activities were monitored by the consultant/coordinator, who visited approximately four development agents per week.

6/93 Final Evaluation Workshop (two days) in Addis Abeba

Pilot activity also initiated 42 income-generating projects for youth groups.

A comprehensive case history of the pilot project has been prepared which documents the pilot process.
