The Rural Income Generating Activities project is a collaborative effort between the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the World Bank, and the American University, Washington DC.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations  leads international efforts to defeat hunger. Serving both developed and developing countries, FAO acts as a neutral forum where all nations meet as equals to negotiate agreements and debate policy.

 

 

 

The World Bank
The World Bank Group makes loans and grants and provides analytical and advisory services to middle-income and creditworthy poorer countries, promoting sustainable development to reduce poverty. Resources and technical assistance support country-led poverty reduction strategies in key policy areas: increased productivity, better governance and accountability, an improved private investment climate and access to education and health care for poor people.
