No results found.Food security is likely to be affected by climate change (CC) in several ways: food security depends not only on the direct impact of CC on food production, but also on its indirect impacts on human development, economic growth, trade flows, and food aid policy (Keane et al., 2009). The extent of such impact is however very uncertain, especially in regions where climate projections are ambivalent, such as in the Sahel zone in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). In our study we assess: how projections for key food security indicators – such as agriculture production and rural poverty – are affected by the uncertainty in climate change; and how investment in adaptation measures can help dealing with such uncertainty. -
