342. The Conference unanimously adopted by acclamation the following resolution:

TRIBUTE TO PROFESSOR MICHEL CEPEDE AS INDEPENDENT CHAIRMAN OF THE COUNCIL

THE CONFERENCE,

Considering that the term of office of Professor Michel Cépède, Independent Chairman of the FAO Council since November 1969, expires at the close of the Seventeenth Session of the Conference,

Conscious of the fact that the outgoing Independent Chairman has been closely and actively associated with FAO since its inception,

1. Expresses sincere appreciation for the invaluable services and guidance he has given to the Organization and in particular to the Council throughout the four years of his two terms of office,

2. Conveys to Professor Michel Cépède its deep gratification and warmest wishes.

B. Date and place of the eighteenth session of the conference

343. The Conference decided that its Eighteenth Session should be held in Rome, from Saturday 8 to Thursday 27 November 1975.
