This question was discussed more particularly with respect to Sardinella aurita, especially because there is a risk of collapse of this stock. The group, lacking time and means, did not review this issue comprehensively, and recommended that a special working session on the state of S. aurita stocks be organized during the Eighth session of the CECAF Working Party on Ressource Evaluation.
