A collection of provenances of Abies procera Rehd. was made in 1978 by A.M. Fletcher, Chairman of IUFRO Working Party S2.02.14 (“Abies provenances”). The collections were made from a wide range of areas in the States of Washington and Oregon, U.S.A. 30–40 trees were sampled at each collecting site. Collection was made by climbing.
Seed of 14 out of the 22 provenances originally included in the collections is still available and is presently stored at Humlebaek, Denmark. The cost of the seed is as follows:
