To mark the 2015 International Day of Forests, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) collaborated with Plant A Tree Today (PATT) Foundation to organize a Kids-to-Forests (K2F) field excursion in Kanchanburi, 21-22 March 2015. The K2F field excursion was participated by 30 students and 7 teachers from five international schools in Bangkok and two local schools in Kanchanaburi.

This video featured the key moments during the very first visit of Ms Kundhavi Kadiresan, ADG and Regional Representative of Asia Pacific, FAO to Bangladesh. Upon arrival, she, accompanied by Mr Mike Robson, FAO Representative in Bangladesh, visited different laboratories at Bangladesh Agriculture Research Institute (BARI) at Gazipur. She also visited FAO project site in inaugurating a newly constructed Agri-Mall at Haluaghat Upazila, Mymensingh, while interacting with stakeholders from diverse levels on the next day – 14 November 2015. Her short stay was filled with vital agendas round the clock. With attending at Bangladesh Development Forum (BDF) 2015 at the heart of her schedule, she also put major emphasis on meetings with Ministers of ministries FAO works very close with (Finance, Agriculture, Food, Environment &Forest, Fisheries and Livestock) - in order to hearing their thoughts first hand. Ms Kadiersan praised FAO Bangladesh team, under the leadership of Mike Robson in upholding FAO’s flag in the country while also contributing to Bangladesh’s journey in achieving the middle-income status from low-income country.
