Making a difference in food security and nutrition
The 52nd Plenary Session of the Committee on World Food Security (CFS 52) will be held from 21 to 25 October 2024 in Rome, Italy.
This year's session will focus on the 2024 State of Food Security and Nutrition report, the endorsement of those CFS products developed by the Committee during the intersessional period, the update of the CFS Multi-Year Programme of Work for 2024-2027, the report by the High-Level Panel of Experts on Food Security and Nutrition (HLPE-FSN) on "Strengthening urban and peri-urban food systems to achieve food security and nutrition in the context of urbanization and rural transformation", and other ongoing CFS workstreams and priorities.
SIDE EVENTS AT CFS 52
To enrich and complement the CFS 52 Plenary, the CFS invites its partners and other stakeholders to showcase their work by applying to organize a side event over the five days of the Plenary.
Each of these 75-minute side events must be relevant to the CFS vision and mandate, especially where CFS policy guidance and frameworks are being effectively used to foster partnerships to advance the 2030 Agenda and, in particular, SDG 2.
Side events will be selected from among applications received by the formal deadline of 16 June 2024 by the CFS Chairperson. The decision of the final selection will be announced in early July 2024.
