Hi, I work with Gamos, which is a small independent company based near London in the UK. A lot of our work is aimed at understanding people's needs, and what lies behind their behaviour and the choices they make. So I guess I'm more interested in what people find helpful than the technology itself. We've conducted research mostly in African countries, with a range of partners. Mobile phones are really interesting because people clearly find them useful - at least for talking! I think the potential for mobiles is huge, so I'm looking forward to learning views and experiences which might help focus on some specific ideas.
