I basically grew up in the orchard. My father who was an agricultural researcher and nurtured my love and interest for plants as well as the effect of climate and stress on their growth and physiology. I have a BSc (Agric) in Plant production and breeding (Horticulture and Genetics) from the University of Stellenbosch and is currently in the process of finishing my MSc (Agric) in Horticulture. From 2012-2017 I was a lecturer in Pomology and Horticulture at Elsenburg Agricultural Training Institute. From 2017 I have been working for FruitLook which is a product of a Dutch company, eLeaf, and the use of it is fully subsidized by the Western Cape Department of Agriculture making it free for anyone to use in the Western Cape.
