(ii) Technical assistance and trainings on food quality management and contributions to research programmes on food quality complete the experience in quality management acquired in almost ten years of auditing and inspecting food and agricultural companies against the major quality and food safety standards, such as IFS, HACCP, GlobalGAP, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 22000:2018.
At 58, started studying anthropology for curiosity and passion to explore more in the area of food and agriculture and five year later graduated in anthropology, religions and oriental civilisations from Bologna University. Currently developing specific research on the analysis of agricultural cooperation and the anthropological structure of the rural communities involved in value chains and their governance, and the impact on those rural communities. This includes the adoption of the own-developed “Icons of Local Economy” model to analyse the identity of value chains and their relations with the local communities and the Identity Map model to analyse the identity of food products in selected locations and how selected food contributes to the creation of identity of the communities.
